Tandoori

Work Description

“Tandoori is indispensable for natural life. Anatolia is the warmest part of their home. It is he who gives an insatiable taste to brewed teas, hot breads, and fried buns.

On festive mornings, grandmothers and mothers light the tandoor before dawn. Meals will be cooked, teas will be brewed and the whole family, wife, friends, relatives, together with the men who will come from prayer, will all meet at the table together.
Every beauty destroyed by modern life was experienced in the tandoor. The tandoor section of our museum is a small point of resistance to remind us of our beauties destroyed by concreting and modern life.

I really missed the doughnut (pağaç) that my grandmother cooked in the tandoor when she left the house to graze animals and ignited it in my hand at dawn. I miss grandma more.
