From Harvest to Harvest Concert at Award-Winning Museum

The “From Harvest to Harvest” concert was held at the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, which is the only museum to have two of the world’s most important awards in the field of cultural heritage and was also deemed worthy of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s special award in 2022.

Bass Baritone Burak Bilgili and Pianist Fügen Yiğitbaşı took the stage in the third of the traditional “From Harvest to Harvest” concerts.
The concert, which was held with the participation of 10 journalists invited from abroad by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency in order to support the spread and promotion of cultural tourism in Anatolia, attracted great attention.
Museum Founder Kenan Yavuz said in his statement, “We have achieved great success in the international arena thanks to our original work in the field of Cultural Heritage. Our museum, which was crowned with the Special Award of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2022, strives to keep alive and tell the ancient culture, traditional social life and intangible cultural heritage of Anatolia. Within the framework of the strategy of spreading cultural activities initiated by our Ministry to Anatolia, we hosted 10 journalists invited by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency from various countries and visited our museum with them, mowed, drove, and played pathos at the harvest festival and then we were together at a magnificent concert given by our internationally successful opera artists, Bass Baritone Burak Bilgili and Pianist Fügen Yiğitgil. Universal compositions were blended with Anatolian melodies and met in our harvest. Many art lovers from Bayburt and surrounding provinces attended our concert. The future trend in tourism has started to be culture and experience-oriented. Every corner of Anatolia has a different story, a different beauty, we have to institutionalize these beauties with a systematic approach and carry them to the future. There is a need for tourism clusters in new geographies. Indeed, the “culture road” initiative initiated by our Ministry of Culture and Tourism has mobilized Anatolian cities. The expectations of qualified and white-collar tourists are now based on nature, natural life, local colors, local folklore and local gastronomy. As Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, we were deemed worthy of the 2022 special award of our ministry for presenting an original structure in culture and experience tourism, and we had the honor of receiving our award from our President on January 24, 2023. As a village museum in the rural areas of Anatolia, we are an exemplary social responsibility project. We will continue to make our cultural depth visible and introduce Anatolia to the world with the events we organize,” he said. Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, who attended the concert, said, “I was very happy to come across such a magnificent event just a few days after I took office. I would like to thank our very valuable artists and everyone who contributed. Although we are the smallest province in Turkey, we have two special museums crowned with the most important awards in the international arena. I served as a district governor in many regions of our country, especially in many districts that stand out with their historical and cultural textures. I tried to support culture-oriented projects. We need original civil initiatives, such as the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, in every corner, mountain and stone of Anatolia. It is extremely important for our business world to allocate resources and support such works within the scope of social responsibility. We had a wonderful time together with our journalist citizens from foreign countries, whom we hosted with the support of our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, at a wonderful concert and shared the ancient beauties of Anatolia with them. As Bayburt, we aim to be one of the cities that have a say in cultural tourism,” he said
