Nearly 50 journalists who came to Bayburt as guests of the Bayburt Journalists Association visited Kenan Yavuz Culture House.
Kenan Yavuz Culture House, which rises in Beşpınar and adds a significant value to Bayburt as a gift to the geography where businessman Kenan Yavuz was born, hosted regional journalists.
The journalists, who examined the buildings and the works on display in the light of the information provided by Kenan Yavuz Cultural House Foundation volunteer Mete Emir, took many souvenir photos.
Referring to the formation stage of Kenan Yavuz Culture House, Emir said, “You can describe this place as an example of loyalty shown by a Bayburt lover to the land where he was born. Many works that are about to disappear today are exhibited here. Especially, you can find the phases of mankind in the last century in the works exhibited in the museum and in the structures built as the same. In this sense, it sheds light on social memory ”.
Bayburt Journalists Association President Yaşar Yıldız noted that businessman Kenan Yavuz is known for his appreciation to Bayburt and Bayburtlu in all places where he worked. Yıldız thanked Kenan Yavuz for providing Bayburt with a cultural house and thanked Bayburt for the services he has done so far.
KGF President Erişen: “A work worthy of praise”
President of the Black Sea Federation of Journalists, Erdogan Erişen said, “Kenan Yavuz Culture House, which came to life in Beşpınar, is a work worthy of praise, and said,” I thank the businessman Kenan Yavuz on behalf of Bayburt. A truly precious, immortal work has been created as a gift to the future. We visited with interest and encountered many items that were about to be erased from our memories. “It is very important for future generations to know these and see from which stages their ancestors have reached these points.”
The newspaper group talked for a while with the stonemason Ömer Kırmızı, who also built the Historical Mostar Bridge in the area prepared for the “Bayburt Stone and Tile” exhibition to be opened at the International Dede Korkut Culture and Art Festival.
During the trip, journalists were given brochures including the events hosted by Kenan Yavuz Culture House and the story of the culture house. The visit ended with various treats.
